The Miss Teen Africa Foundation are thrilled to announce that we’ve been nominated in the 2019 Community Organization of the Year category for the UK’s Largest Diversity Awards.

The prestigious black-tie event honours nominees in their fields and recognises the outstanding accomplishments of grassroots organisations that work to address today’s social issues, honouring them for their commitment and hard work.

Yomi Adegoke, Founder of the Miss Teen Africa Organization, stated immediately after receiving the nomination.

“It is a huge honour to have been nominated for the UK’s largest diversity awards yet again for our tireless work in empowering and promoting inclusivity among our community’s young women.” And, given the excellence displayed by charities and grass-roots organisations across the UK this year, it is an honour to be nominated alongside the best. I’d also like to wish all of the nominees’ luck at this year’s National Diversity Awards.

The breathtaking Liverpool Anglican Cathedral will host this year’s awards on September 20th. Britain’s most inspiring and selfless people will gather to honour the rich tapestry of UK grass-roots organisations and recognise individuals and groups from all walks of life. Good luck to us.
